What is Diet Coaching?

Diet Coaching for Lasting Fat Loss is an online diet coaching program for women who want to lose weight without restrictive dieting. Our goal is for you to achieve weight loss through the practice of small, strategic skills, consistent action, accountability and group support. Together, we work on the strategies that will make any food program work - shopping, cooking, eating slowly, eating for hunger and eating just enough.
 

What about macros?  Do I have to count calories and stuff?

You'll start with an individualized meal plan based on your initial assessment and goals, and we'll work together to fine tune it weekly so that it works for YOUR lifestyle and supports both your weight goals AND your strength and recovery needs in the gym.

As for macros and calories - in the beginning, very few clients need to count calories or track macronutrients (grams of protein, carbohydrates or fats). But everyone is different!  For some, we will eventually need to tweak things in order to optimize their weight loss or to ensure proper workout fueling and recovery.  So while it's likely we won't start there, we may choose to go there at some point.  But for many, weight management can be achieved without ever tracking or counting.
 

If I'm not counting calories, how will I know if I'm eating enough/too much?

Stick to the portion sizes and you'll be golden!
 

How much weight will I lose?  

It all depends on how much you weigh to begin, and how you personally approach the process.  But a safe, sustainable rate of loss is about .5-2 lbs per week. Fat loss (unlike barbell lifting) isn't linear, so there may be weeks you see little movement and then all of a sudden there's a nice drop on the scale.
