How it works
The first step is to sign up for an Intro Session with one of our Starting Strength coaches. In this 90-minute session, you will learn about the Starting Strength method and how to perform the basic barbell lifts . You will be taught how to properly perform the squat, press, bench press and deadlift according to the Starting Strength method. Your coach will answer any training related questions you may have and provide a personalized program for you to get started. All Intro Sessions are led by one of our certified Starting Strength coaches
What to Expect
Weightlifting shoes and comfortable fitness clothing is recommended. A pair of lifting shoes and weightlifting belt will be provided for you if you don't have your own. You will have a chance to talk to the coach about your training history and address any injuries that you might be working around to ensure that you can train safely and effectively. The coach will have you work with a load that allows for proper technique to be learned and address any form errors.
Dedicated coaching: You’ll never feel lost in a Starting Strength session. Our certified coaches are here to guide you every step of the way.
